BrookHaven Retirement Community Ministry

One of the most overlooked and often forgotten segments of our culture are the residents in nursing facilities.  We have a ministry opportunity that enables our group to be an encouragement to senior adults at BrookHaven Retirement Community in Brookville.  Once every two months (usually on the third Sunday) we go there and sing songs, play instruments, give testimonies and bring a timely message from God's Word to some of the population.  Our mission is simply to share the love of Christ and the hope of the gospel through Christ.  All ages need the Lord, including those who are in the twilight of life!

Jesus commands His disciples at the end of the Gospel of Matthew to, as they are going, make disciples of all peoples. That means every believer is to be an evangelist. Every believer is to be a proclaimer of the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. However, not every believer is able to go to the uttermost parts of the earth. The apostle John teaches that we can still be "fellow workers with the truth" by supporting those that do (3 John 8).

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
— Mark 16:15, KJV

Covenant Baptist Church is committed to magnifying the glory of God through the proclamation of His gospel to all peoples. We want to be faithful where we are, and where we can't go, we want to be active in supporting those that are going.

We currently supports missionaries with ministries in the United States, Brazil, Chile, Ireland, Kenya, India, and the Far East.
